Faith in Action of McHenry County works with seniors of our community who live at home to assist them and their families in maintaining their independence, dignity and quality of life.
Whether it be a ride to the doctor, help with some light housekeeping, or a friendly visit,our volunteers provide services to seniors in need of assistance at no cost.

Faith in Action is a non-profit interfaith organization that has been serving the seniors of McHenry County since 1998. Our volunteers come from churches, synagogues and other houses of worship, as well as the community at large.

Kathryn B.
Kathryn is a long time volunteer and served on the governing board for a number years while also volunteering in the office, providing intakes for “new” care receivers, and offering advice and expertise for strategic plans. Kathryn began our detail of services before we automated! For those of you lucky enough to have her serve as “your” volunteer you know that besides providing staff support, she is an excellent listener, baker, and her nursing skills are also well utilized. Thank you KB from the bottom of our hearts! |

Michelle M.
We are sure that you already know Michelle, if not by reputation, by face, as she graces the front of our current brochure. She is also featured in the FIAMC DVD. She has been a mainstay, logging a significant number of hours providing transportation, respite services, and flower deliveries for our care receivers. Always the helper, Michelle served as part of our office staff, but after realizing that she cannot do all things, has chosen to focus on activities that place her directly with care receivers. We love and appreciate you Michelle, thanks for everything.

A generous grant from the McHenry County Community Foundation has allowed us to print a Senior Transportation Options Booklet. This booklet is available, while supplies last, and may be picked up at our offices. The booklet is also available for you to view or print .
